The animation was created using Motion Capture data, cleaning and animating on top to give us the character and motions required. Working in the Story editor in Motion Builder allowed us to quickly create iterations of each motion.
In Motion Builder we created a Custom Character Extension, which allows you to re-target, key and cycle elements outside of the built in standard characterisation tool .Lower arm motion for weapons etc was handled by the engine (UE4)
